Thor may not be the only Asgardian who has a love interest in Thor: The Dark World.

Actor Tom Hiddleston, who plays the hero's brother Loki, said he wants to see his character enjoy a romance, hinting at the Enchantress, whom the character had a history with in the comic books. He even relayed the idea to the film's producer Kevin Feige, who is also an executive at Marvel Studios.

"When I was first reading the comics, the relationship with the Enchantress was one of the really fun things I thought would be good to explore, and may have even pitched it to Kevin Feige at some point," he said in an interview with Total Film Magazine"They basically had a really fantastic and twisted relationship until they both say, 'You know what? I don't trust you as far as I can throw you. It's over.' Because they keep betraying each other, in a way. So it could be good."

There is no word on whether or not Feige honored Hiddleston's request and included the romance in Dark World. However, Hiddleston did remind fans that though Loki has not had any steady romance in the franchise, it doesn't mean that the character has been celibate.

"Sleipnir is one of his children. Did you know that? Odin's eight-legged horse in the mythology is one of the Loki's children. As is Fenrir the wolf," he said.

According to Norse mythology, Fenrir was the son of Loki and the giantess Angrbooa. Sleipnir was born when Loki shape-shifted into a mare and became pregnant. The storyline was not introduced in the Thor films.

Thor: The Dark World hits theaters Nov. 8.
