A new report claims that although Robert Pattinson has been dating model Dylan Penn, he still misses his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart and would like to reconnect with her.

"Rob is simply not over Kristen," a friend of Pattinson's told Hollywood Life. "He misses her. He misses their friendship. Rob likes Dylan, but spending time with her has actually made him miss Kristen even more."

Stewart just returned from Germany last week from filming Sils Maria with legendary actress Juliette Binoche. The insider said Pattinson is aware that she is back from Los Angeles after shooting for two months, but he is unsure about how to reconnect with her. The British heartthrob is the one who ended their four-year relationship in May.

"Rob knows Kristen is back home but he haven't seen her yet," our source continues. "I know he wants to see her, but just doesn't know how to approach her since he is the one who cut off the communication. He just needs to not worry about what other people think and listen to his intuition."

Stewart might be ready to rekindle a friendship with her. Last week, it was revealed she is reportedly "traumatized" by the news that her former on-and off-screen love moved on and began dating other women.

"She's traumatized by it," a source reportedly told OK! in the recent print edition.

Another source told Hollywood Life that she was jealous about his budding romance with Penn. The On The Raod actress learned Pattinson and Penn attend music concerts which was one of Stewart's favorite pasttimes with him.

"When Kristen heard Rob had taken Dylan Penn out to listen to some music, she was not happy," a friend of Stewart's told Hollywood Life.

The insider's claims follows a previous report that Penn is considering severing ties with the Twilight star.

A source claims in the latest print edition of Us Weekly that despite being Hollywood offspring-- Penn's parents are actor Sean Penn and Robin Wright--she is unsure if she is ready to give up her privacy. She is aware of the what comes with dating someone who is constantly in the press.

"She doesn't want to be known as Rob's girlfriend," the source says. "She's afraid to get serious with him and lose her privacy."
