The highly anticipated Man of Steel 2 a.k.a. Batman vs. Superman movie may be adding another famous comic book hero to the mix: Nightwing.

A new report from Latino-Review is claiming that the producers of Man of Steel 2 are looking to cast for Dick Grayson, also known as Nightwing and most commonly known as Robin. The producers are allegedly looking to cast for a "young John Hawkes type" who is also familiar with martial arts.

The report also claims that Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) and Dick Grayson will not have spoken in years during the timeframe of the movie.

The Dick Grayson character has been featured in multiple Batman films of the past. Chris O'Donnell played Dick/Robin in both Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character in The Dark Knight Rises was revealed to be Dick Grayson at the end of the film.

Man of Steel 2 News: Batman-Superman Movie Filming at Kent Farm?

If Dick Grayson really is going to be in Man of Steel 2, he would be the fourth superhero featured in the film assuming the Wonder Woman rumors are also true.

In the D.C. comics, Dick changes his superhero alter ego from Robin to Nightwing after he distances himself from Batman. Considering the Batman in the upcoming movie is supposed to be "tired and weary," it can be assumed that Dick will be using the name Nightwing during the timeframe of the film.
