A Canadian actress on trial for allegedly stalking Alec Baldwin claimed she was only trying to find out why the actor lost interest in her after their affair.

Genevieve Sabourin, 41, is accused of harassing the actor with love-stricken demanding phone calls and emails where she promised the actor they would make a great couple and also talked about conceiving a child with him. She is also accused of showing up at his homes in Manhattan and the Hamptons uninvited, with her belongings in tow, according to Daily Mail.

"There was nothing legitimate about these communications," Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Zachary Stendig said during his opening statement in court Thursday, Nov. 7.

Baldwin reportedly met Sabourin on the set of the 2002 sci-fi comedy The Adventures of Pluto Nash. He admitted he had one dinner with her back in 2010, but that it was strictly professional.

Sabourin reportedly called him so many times the actor was forced to change his number. She also allegedly sent him emails in broken English that talked about their potential future together.

"I will be in prime of my ovulation this St. Patrick's Day and the best gift from you of all would be to conceive a mini Baldwin on this Ireland National Day," she reportedly wrote in a March 2012 email to the actor, which was read in court.

"Accept my proposal and I'll take you straight to heaven. There is many things I will do to you now in order to give you all kinds of delightful pleasure, French are the best lovers in the world and I master my art," another email reportedly read.

Sabourin was arrested after showing up at Baldwin's homes in Amagansett, N.Y. and his apartment in Greenwich Village, as well as a Manhattan movie screening he was attending after news of his engagement to 29-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas went public.

Sabourin claimed the actor had a brief affair with her but suddenly turned the cold shoulder on her, and she just wanted answers. She claims the dinner in 2010 was a romantic one for Valentine's Day that was followed by a sexual tryst in a hotel room. Shortly after that night the actor began turning away from her, she claimed.

If convicted, Sabourin could face up to 90 days in jail. Baldwin is expected to testify next week.
