As rumors continue to swirl about the highly anticipated Amazing Spider-Man 2, the movie's spoiler site on Tumblr continues to put out teasers for the new film.

The latest from The Daily Bugle hints about the character Dr. Rajit Ratha (Irrfan Khan).

A deleted scene from that film showed him down in the sewers as he tried to get Dr. Curt Connors' (Rhys Ifans) research to save his boss' life but once again, he was met by Connors in Lizard form. The clip ended with The Lizard appearing to bite off his head. Because the scene was deleted, however, the question of whether Ratha lived or died was never truly answered.

The Daily Bugle confirmed that Ratha did indeed die in the first film and will not return for the second.

The fake newspaper clip, as reported by Dilbert Trilby, reads as follows:

"The New York City coroner's office yesterday positively identified a badly decomposed body found in the sewers beneath lower Manhattan as that of Dr. Rajit Ratha , 46, formerly of Oscorp Industries. A resident of New York City, Ratha was born on March 13, 1967 in Jaipur, India. Ratha was the director of Business Development in the Biogenetic Division of Oscorp in Manhattan."

Just Jared released another new still from the film, which features a first glimpse at Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker with old friend (and potential future enemy) Harry Osborne (Dane Dehaan).

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 arrives in theaters May 2014.
