New behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Transformers 4: Age of Extinction featuring Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor and Michael Bay were revealed in Empire magazine.

The cover story of Empire magazine's latest issue is about the fourth installment of the action film franchise.

In one of the shots, Bay is seen play-acting, threatening Peltz' character with the earth digging claw of an excavator. She looks scared and cowers by a wrecked car, covered by grit and dirt.

In another hazy still, Wahlberg and Reynor are readying to zip away in a car. The third image reveals one of the Transformer rides, a huge mean looking truck which is the Optimus Prime's vehicular form.

A new look for Optimus Prime was also featured on the cover of the publication.

The autobot was featured on the front page along with the film's stars Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz and Mark Wahlberg. The headline highlighted the project's filming locations -- "Detroit! Hong Kong! Cybertron!" -- suggesting that the film will show us the Transformers' home planet. The cover image gives fans a glimpse at what Optimus Prime will look like as a robot.

Reynor is the male lead of the film and will be playing a race car driver. Peltz plays Reynor's girlfriend in the film and Wahlberg will portray Flynn Vincent, Peltz's dad. Kelsey Grammer will be playing the role of Harold Attinger, a counter-intelligence agent who is the main antagonist in the film.

Transformers: Age of Extinction comes out on June 2, 2014.
