With news of the release date for Fast & Furious 7 being revealed on Vin Diesel's Facebook account days ago, fans continue to get increasingly stoked for the upcoming installment of the mega-action movie series that'll hit theaters on April 10, 2015.

Although it's still up in the air as to how much of the late Paul Walker (Brian O'Connor) will be featured in the flick, fans can take a look back on another area that has contributed to the success of these movies.

No blockbuster action movie is complete without its villain, and clearly, the Fast & Furious franchise has slowly shifted away from movies about car racing to ones about a super-international crime fighting squad.

In the franchises opening film, loyalists got to know Johnny Chan, a drag racing thug who tried to strong arm Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his gang into hi-jacking 18-wheelers.  From there it took off.  Driving a car under a truck turned into stealing bank vaults from police stations and stopping a tank on a bridge.

With every movie, its antagonists seemingly upgraded his weapons and team.  The last installment saw a military expert give the Fast crew almost all they could handle.

Jason Statham is set to lead the cast of villains for the upcoming Fast and Furious 7.

Let's take a look back at the crazy and cutthroat bad guys that have been taken down by our favorite heroes.
