A blast from the past may bring X-Men fans the biggest boom Fox Movies has seen since Avatar.

Hugh Jackman spoke to Empire Magazine recently about the upcoming blockbuster movie, X-men: Days of Future Past.

The 45-year-old was not coy in describing how huge the 2014 release of X-Men could be.

Talking about the film and director Bryan Singer, Jackman said, "Bryan has such an incredible brain. This is certainly the biggest movie Fox has made outside of Avatar, so there's pressure from all angles. But he's buzzing, and he's confident. He's gone deeper emotionally, and it's a great ensemble piece."

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to take fans on a wild ride through time. The movie spends much time in the 70's, which Jackman thinks is perfect for his Wolverine character.

"If there's an era for Wolverine, it's the 70s. The hair, the mutton chops, you can smoke cigars everywhere...everything about Wolverine seems more at home in the 70s," says Jackman.

Jackman went on to talk about how his character handles being sent back in time, and how Wolverine is a "warrior and can't hide from it any more." He even leaked a possible spoiler for fans, saying, "There's a line that Fassbender says that may make it. He says to Wolverine, 'You spend the next 50 years trying to bring me down?' Wolverine says, 'Pretty much.' Magneto says, 'How did that go for you...'"

These quotes certainly provide stark contrast between Days of Future Past, where Wolverine and Magneto seem to be working together, and the first three X-Men films, which saw Magneto as Wolverine's nemesis, one that toyed with the metal inside Wolverine like a posable action figure.
