Martin Short's wife actress Nancy Dolman was remembered this week after Kathie Lee Gifford's slip on the Today Show on Wednesday.

Dolman passed away in 2010 after suffering ovarian cancer. She was 58. The Canadian comic actress and singer was most known for her role as Annie Selig Tate on ABC's sitcom "Soap."

She and Short also appeared in the TV special "Martin Short: Concert for the North Americas," in 1985.

She married Short in 1980 and had three children together Katherine, Oliver and Henry all graduates now. She retired from acting in 1985 to be a full-time mother.

On Wednesday Lee Gifford from the Today Show asked Short about his wife during an interview where he was promoting his new movie "Madagascar 3."

"You and Nancy have one of the greatest marriages of anybody in show business," Gifford said.

"How many years for you guys now?" she continued.

"We . . . married 36 years," Short replied.

"But you're still in love!" the host exclaimed. "Madly in love," he answered. "Madly in love."

Gifford pushed him further asking "Why?"

"Cute, I'm cute," Short said trying hard to find an appropriate answer to her question. (READ: KATHIE LEE ASKS MARTIN SHORT ABOUT DEAD WIFE)

Short told E!Online that there was no "ill will intended." (SEE HIS INTERVIEW WITH EONLINE)

"I think that it's live television and people make mistakes and there's no ill will intended," he said. "And I think it's nice to aspire to be that way."

Lee Gifford conducted the interview on Wednesday.
