Vampire Diaries co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder attended the 2014 PaleyFest Panel for their CW series on Saturday and appeared to have no hard feelings. The former couple sat next to each other during the chat about their show and at one point even shared a high-five.

Dobrev looked chic in a flowy Michael Kors dress while her ex-boyfriend sported a grey suit as they revealed what fans can expect from their characters on the rest of season 5.

While Dobrev and Somerhalder's off-screen romance has ended, their characters may reignite their love. In a recent episode, Elena confessed her love for Damon and the two kissed.

"They have to put on their big-boy pants and big-girl pants," Somerhalder said about their characters.

Dobrev added: "The problem is they keep taking their pants off and that keeps getting in the way of things."

The former couple called it quits last May after more than three years of dating. They previously joked about their breakup when they accepted the award for "Favorite Onscreen Chemistry" at the 40th Annual People's Choice Awards in January.

"We started dating in real life," Somerhalder said, before Dobrev added, "And then we broke up in real life."

"And yet our characters are still dating on the show," he continued.

"It's a good thing it's not awkward," Dobrev said sarcastically.
