Mark Wahlberg suggested that he had signed on for more films in the franchise if Transformers: Age of Extinction does well, in a recent interview at CinemaCon 2014 which took place in Las Vegas in March 24.

The actor also dished about how the film is a stand alone and the story is independent of the previous films in the franchise. He also went on to talk about how the Autobots in the film will be completely different in this film.

"We are going to see a very different type of Autobot in this movie," he said "These guys have really changed from the previous three films. They are kind of different souls if you know what I mean. And, I think that you know its just so action-packed and high-octane that its really going to keep people gripped."

Paramount's vice-chairman Rob Moore also championed Wahlberg's association with the action-thriller franchise, suggesting that he would be a major draw for fans.

"Michael Bay...is committed to making sure young audiences have a reason to flock back to your theaters," Moore said.

Walhberg also said that the film was not dependent on the storyline of the past films in the franchise, and could survive on its own.

"It was a tighter script, and its own stand-alone thing. I think the emotional core of it, the human element, is going to be extremely powerful. It's an ordinary man trying to do extraordinary things to save his daughter and keep her alive-and this boyfriend he didn't know anything about," he said. "He'd had a child when he was in high school and his wife passed away, and the promise he'd made to her was that she wouldn't date any boys until she graduated and that she'd be at the graduation-because we weren't due to the pregnancy. So there's an anchor to it and a realness to it that I like a lot."

New Transformers 4: Age of Extinction footage was also revealed at the event.

The film will release on Jun. 27 2014.
