The first image of Gal Gadot on the set of Man of Steel 2, a.k.a. Batman vs. Superman has surfaced, though she's not in her Wonder Woman suit just yet.

Gadot was photographed in a dark blue dress reportedly on the set of Man of Steel 2 in Michigan on Friday. The photo was tweeted by the user HenryCavillOrg, who cites Instagram user 'armendarakjian' for the photo.

Considering she is wearing a blue dress in the photo, it is assumed that she is filming scenes as Diana Prince, the alter ego of Wonder Woman.

Man of Steel 2 has been in the news lately after the film's director Zack Snyder tweeted the first photo of Ben Affleck as Batman. The photo depicts Affleck's Batman looking downward, which prompted several memes of Bruce Wayne's alter ego photoshopped into other situations.

Anticipation is high for the film for a variety of reasons. While many are buzzing since this will be the first live-action film featuring both Batman and Superman, there is also a lot riding on Gadot as Wonder Woman. This is the first time Wonder Woman is being depicted on the big screen.

Man of Steel 2 stars Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gadot as Wonder Woman, Diana Prince, Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's butler. Holly Hunter will also be in the film, though her role is unknown. Additionally, Ray Fisher has allegedly been confirmed to be playing Cyborg.

Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016.
