The Pitch Perfect sequel is officially on as Anna Camp signs on to join the rest of the girls of Barden University, according to Perez Hilton. Camp was a real scene stealer in the original, making her one of the key members of the runaway hit. Her comedic timing and downright snooty attitude as Aubrey, the leader of the Bella's, was winning. While it was Anna Kendrick's movie, it was Camp that stole the show.

The Pitch Perfect 2 Cast!

Actress Elizabeth Banks is going to be behind the camera in her feature directorial debut while maintaining the role of snippy host of the acapella contests. With Camp in tow and the table set, the cameras are all ready to go with the sequel. Entering the fray of Barden U is veteran actress Katey Sagal and Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld from True Grit. From the dramatic ending of the first film, fans know that the Barden Bellas nailed it and won, leaving audiences on a cliff clamoring for more singing.

Universal Studios seem to have a whole lot of faith in Pitch Perfect franchise. The production has a shot to show that the original's success was not just a fluke. Universal is betting big time on the girls to bring it the second time around and have given it a cushy release smack at the beginning of summer movie season next May.

Pitch Perfect and other sequels set for Universal
