With the massive appeal of Guardians of the Galaxy and the seemingly large opening of the galaxy to other Marvel properties, could a villain move from the land of Knowhere to the streets of New York to fight Iron Man?

Will 'Iron Man 4' Happen Before Or After 'Avengers 3?'

According to speculation by Movie Pilot, it seems like the villain, Fing Fang Foom, could make his way into the Marvel universe and cause some problems for Tony Stark's Iron Man.

The site stated that for Iron Man 4, "the main villain would be The Mandarin. And maybe either The Collector or The Nova Corps would of had possession of Fing Fang Foom who would soon find Earth after the destruction of either the Collectors lair or the Corps," they speculated.

"And while on Earth, he fights Iron Man and runs away and finds the Mandarin and they would team-up to take down Tony Stark. Iron Man would win in the end and look into Fing. He would find that he was of cosmic origin and would fly off into the Galaxy and meet the Guardians and join their roster."

This would certainly be an ambitious storyline for either Guardians 2 or Iron Man 4, but one that could always take shape depending on schedules. Robert Downey Jr. seems open to returning for a fourth Iron Man movie and reports seem to hint at it happening post-2018 when the third Avengers movie is rumored to happen.

This could open up this storyline for an appearance after then when the Guardians have possibly met the Avengers during the third movie and could add Iron Man to the ranks to fight the Mandarin for the fourth movie.
