Katie Holmes continued to her enjoy her life apart from ex-husband Tom Cruise this week as she dropped $25,000 on a post-divorce shopping spree.

The actress hit the shops in New York City, spending $15,000 on designer high heels and $10,000 on lingerie. Reports say Holmes bought 15 pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes, which can cost several hundred dollars a pair.

"Katie treated herself to a lavish post-split pick-me-up shopping spree," a source told the National Enquirer. "She wants to show the world who she really is -- a beautiful, confident and talented woman balancing single motherhood and a thriving career."

Holmes hit Barney's department store in New York during her shopping trip, where she picked up a full new wardrobe of cocktail dresses and suits to freshen up her image.

The shopping spree was entirely on Holmes' dime, as the prenuptial agreement she and Cruise signed before marrying stipulated that she would not get a piece of the actor's reported $250 million fortune.

But Holmes isn't doing too badly for herself. She's estimated to be worth around $25 million, and she'll likely make lots more from jobs like her recent gig as a model for H. Stern.

Cruise will fork over about $400,000 a year in child support for the couple's daughter, 6-year-old Suri. The actor has also established a "sizable trust fund" for Suri at Holmes' request, though Suri won't be able to legally control the money until she's in her 30s.
