The 31-year-old singer intends to bring her son on tour with her later in the year and while she's done plenty of research on cribs and busses, she's still looking for as much advice as she can get.

One asset in Underwood's pursuit of a baby-friendly tour has been 28-year-old Hilary Scott, who is both a friend and the singer from Lady Antebellum.

"Carrie and I are really good friends," the Lady Antebellum singer told People on Friday.

According to Scott, she and Underwood had "an honest, expectant new mom conversation."

"I told Carrie , 'Don't try to cater to the noise thing to the baby because they'll sleep through it,'" explained Scott, who explained to her friend that newborns aren't as sensitive to disruption as you might think.

"Carrie and I talked about the layout of the bus as well," added Scott. "You need to make sure the walls are padded and you can have the monitor installed in the bunk so you can look at them while you are in the front or the back lounge and make sure they are in a good position."

Despite all the challenges of balancing a busy music career, Scott is thrilled for Underwood and her husband, NHL player Mike Fisher. "I'm so excited for her," the singer said. "She's going to be an amazing mom and Mike an amazing dad."

Underwood is expected to give birth to a baby boy this spring, though she and her husband have decided to keep the exact due date private for the time being.
