Thor will bring more than just his brawn and demigod powers to The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Robert Downey Jr. Tweet: What Announcement Did The Iron Man Actor Tease?

The Asgardian has lived far longer than any of Midgard's Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) centuries of knowledge will come into play as the Avengers faces their most dangerous enemy to date.

"I just sort of kept saying to Joss, 'Okay, what do I bring to the table besides Thor being one of [the Avengers'] foot soldiers and the muscle in a bunch of fight scenes?' Like, 'What is his knowledge he can bring to it?'" Hemsworth said of his input into the Age of Ultron script, according to Cinema Blend. "All of a sudden, you're standing there in these conversations and you go, 'Well hang on. He's from another planet you know! What's his thousands of years of existence? What information can I bring?'"

In this case, Thor will dredge up an answer from another dimension to help his comrades.

"He calls upon some of his Asgardian knowledge in this and is able to go into, say, another realm to pull out something that's hugely useful," Hemsworth explained. "Some information that certainly benefits where they're at that point."
