Kristen Bell and fiancé Dax Shepard are soon to be first-time parents. The 32-year-old actress and her 37-year-old actor are expecting a baby, according to Us Weekly.

"They're so excited - they're both ecstatic," a friend of the couple told People Magazine. "Kristen had a little bit of morning sickness early on but she just started shooting the second season of 'House of Lies' and is feeling great now."

The parents-to-be for their first child together have been engaged since 2009 and are not in any rush to tie the knot, according to the Daily News. The couple has been very open about putting their marriage off until it's legalized for same-sex couples.

Shepard told "The View" in July that they "wouldn't want to invite all of our friends who don't have that right to celebrate with us, who have that right."

"Can you think about how rude that would feel?"

The actor reportedly told Larry King during an interview in August that they weren't really "worried" about having a child out of wedlock.

Bell also expressed her viewpoint on the marriage issue.

"The reason we're not rushing to get married is because I don't feel appropriate taking advantage of a right that's to my (gay and lesbian) friends," Bell told The Advocate earlier this year.

"That's why we've been so hesitant. Dax and I have talked about it a lot, and this issue is very important to both of us," Bell added. "We're just standing up for what we believe in. Period."

Bell told Us Weekly that Shepard is and has always been the man of her dreams. "He constantly keeps me laughing; when I'm sad, mad, frustrated, annoyed. Regardless of what it is he can lighten the mood."

"He'll do anything that the mood requires," she said. "I can get frustrated and that is a very powerful weapon. Comedy is a very powerful weapon. He's so funny that it's overwhelming."
