Eva Mendes Has Signed On For Fast and Furious 8?

Last year, Deadline reported that Lin, who helmed the Fast movies before Furious 7 might be returning for the next in the series. which is set to be a "multi-part production" as there will multiple movies filmed together for the big 8.

But later, a Hollywood Reporter piece contradicted the Deadline report, stating that Wan's not quite out the door yet. The publication speculated that Wan is still in the running. Wan, who directed Furious 7, told the publication that he's be up for taking up the next in the series as well. "I'm open to anything at this point," he said.

Additionally, the record breaking success of Furious 7 might very well keep Wan in the running.
