Kim Kardashian's time in Bahrain was met with intense adulation and hatred.

Kardashian visited the Middle Eastern country this week to make appearances at the opening of several Millions of Milkshakes shops, and the 32-year-old reality star was met with legions of screaming fans as well as angry Muslim demonstrators, The New York Daily News reported.

"About 100 Sunni Salafists demonstrated with banners outside The Walk Bahrain, an upmarket mall in the capital Manama, after some MPs tried to block the visit over what they called her 'bad reputation,' according to a local newspaper," the Daily News reported.

The protests came after legislators in Bahrain's parliament attempted to push through a resolution this week to officially prevent Kardashian from coming into the country, according to the Al-Wasat newspaper.

"A group of MPs in today's paliamentary session submitted a proposal to prevent the hosting of American socialite Kim Kardashian, describing her as having a 'bad reputation,' " the report said.

Ultimately, though, the resolution did not move forward, and the report said "quorum to have the proposal put on the agenda was not met."

Despite the negative response from some, Kardashian had a ball on the other side of the world and shared much of her trip with her followers on Twitter.

"I just got to Bahrain! OMG can I move here please? Prettiest place on earth!" Kardashian wrote on her Twitter account on Saturday.

Kardashian also posted photos of herself next to camels in the desert and tweeted her thanks to the president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, for his "amazing hospitality" and said she is "in love with the Kingdom of Bahrain."

And it sounds like it won't be long before she returns.

"Just launched Millions of Milkshakes in Bahrain had the best time ever. Bahrain is my next holiday destination see you in 2013," she wrote.

Despite all the fun she's having, Kardashian is also reportedly aching to reunite with her longtime boyfriend West. She tweeted a photo of the two of them walking up a flight of stairs along with the caption, "I miss you so much."
