Marion Cotillard was asked directly about the Brad Pitt affair rumors by Today's Matt Lauer.
Cotillard is currently promoting her new movie, Allied, in which she stars with Pitt as a pair of assassins who fall in love during World War II. Rumors have plagued Cotillard and Pitt for months now alleging the actors of having an affair on set, which may have contributed to why Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt.
Cotillard has denied the rumors already, and continued to insist that there was nothing to them when she sat down with Lauer for her Today interview this week.
"I never take anything personally when it doesn't concern me," Cotillard said, after Lauer asked about the rumors. "And so I didn't take it personally because I had nothing to do with those rumors or situations."
When Lauer asked the actress if all of this tabloid hoopla affected her feelings on the movie, she was similarly dismissive.
"No. No, I mean, I don't give energy to this," she said. "It was a wonderful, wonderful experience working with such a visionary director [Robert Zemeckis] and an amazing actor, so that's all that matters, you know?"
The report of Pitt and Cotillard potentially having an affair came shortly after news broke that Jolie was filing for divorce. Cotillard eventually put the rumors to rest in a lengthy Instagram post.
