Channing Tatum marks his first appearance since his split with Jenna Dewan at the Honda Indy Grand Prix on Sunday, April 22.

The event, held in Birmingham, Alabama saw Tatum, 37, hang out with Bachelor personality Arie Luyendyk Jr., 36. The Logan Lucky star also enjoyed his duties as the event's grand marshal.

Two Heartthrobs Hang Out

Both Tatum and Luyendyk took to their social media accounts to post a few snaps of the event with the reality television star calling his new pal "such a great dude."

The pair looked quite chummy and happy to participate at the racing event.

"Crazy fast couple laps in the rain!!" Tatum wrote in the caption of his Instagram collage. "Thanks @ariejr! And what an incredibly beautiful track Mr. Barber. Can't wait to come back here and rip some hot laps."

The Bachelor star also took the time to put together a little surprise for his fiancée, Lauren Burnham, who was unable to attend the racing event. Luyendyk filmed himself and Tatum in a short video message on Twitter dedicated to his wife, who he said he was missing, People reports.

"What's up Lauren! I'm about to do something stupid," Tatum says.

"And we wish you were here," Luyendyk adds. "Obviously."

Tatum's official duties include letting the drivers know when to start their engines. He also rode a two-seat Indy car with Luyendyk.

The actor is happy to be back on his home state, especially an event focused on a sport he appreciates.

"There's nothing like when you're going really fast," Tatum explains during the event, according to Entertainment Tonight. "There's no room inside of your mind for anything else, there's just something really pure about it."

He adds that racing around the track had him giggling the whole time.

An eyewitness also tells ET that the actor looked to be "excited and happy" at the track, posing for photos and even mingling with some of the fans who showed up.

Tatum, Dewan Move On

Tatum's outing shows that the Magic Mike star isn't going to be holing up after his divorce from Dewan, his former wife of nine years who recently dropped her ex-husband's last name from her own.

Dewan, for her part, also hit the red carpet for her first public appearance post-split. The actress stepped out to attend the 2018 St. Jude Hope & Heritage Gala in New York where she was honored with the "Humanitarian of the Year" award.

Her father Darryll Dewan accompanied her to the event, according to Marie Claire.
