As if fans aren't devastated enough to hear about Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's split, they will be even more hurt to know that the two have no plans to get back together.

No Chance For Reconcilation

A source close to the two claims that they tried really hard to make things work before deciding to call it quits, but they feel they are better off as friends. However, just as the former couple explained in their statement via social media, they will continue to be dedicated parents to their 4-year-old daughter, Everly Tatum.

"It's not anything rushed. They will not get back together, but they will continue to be the best parents to Everly. The fact that they get along is everything," the source told People.

As per reports, the former couple took to Instagram on Monday, April 2, to announce their separation. Both Tatum and Dewan shared a letter to their followers stating that their decision to part ways was amicable.

Who Is To Blame?

The pair met back in 2006 on the set of the film Step Up. They had been together since and decided to tie the knot in July 2009.

Prior to their split, an insider close to Tatum claims that he tried to put his career on pause to make things work.

The Side Effects star reportedly turned down roles to spend more time with his family and hasn't been on set since filming Logan Lucky in October 2016. The only opportunity that the actor took was to do a voiceover for the 2017 film, Smallfoot, which took place in Los Angeles.

However, it wasn't Tatum's demanding career or a big argument that inspired their split, it was the fact that they basically fell out of love. An insider revealed that this made their decision to separate even harder, because there was no one to blame.

"That almost made it harder for them to decide to separate because there weren't any huge issues, and there's not one person to point a finger at as the one who screwed up," the insider stated
