A new reality series is in the works that will star Peter Billingsley and Vince Vaughn in their search to find undiscovered filmmakers.

The new show titled "Pursuit of Truth" is being launched by television host Glenn Beck on his TheBlazeTV channel.

"I am proud to announce that Vince Vaughn and I are going to be the executive producers," Beck said on his Wednesday radio show, according to Fox News. "That should make everybody's head spin. What the hell is Vince Vaughn doing with a crazy man? I know, that's what my friends say. Glenn, what are you doing with the crazy man Vince Vaughn? Yes. It's great, isn't it? I love it."

Billingsley, most famous for his role in the classic holiday film "A Christmas Story," will team up with good friend Vaughn to find the best documentary filmmakers around. Contestants will submit their ideas to series creators and the winner will receive financing for their film along with worldwide distribution.

Filmmakers interested can get more information on the show's casting site. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 31, 2013 and all potential contestants will be reviewed by Beck.

So what sort of material is Beck specifically looking for?

"I'd love to see something on the Federal Reserve, the game that's being played there," Beck continued on his radio show. "I would love to see something on why capitalism is actually a good thing, why it's not a bad thing."

The new show will be produced in by Vaughn and Billingsley Wild West Productions, along with Gary Auerbach of Go Go Luckey Entertainment.

Billingley added in a statement reported by the Chicago Tribune: "Getting any film beyond the idea stage has become increasingly difficult these days, especially for documentary filmmakers that want to shine a light and make a difference. Our goal is to create a powerful annual platform to help filmmakers tell important and engaging stories."

Billingsley has produced and directed a few of Vaughn's films such as "The Breakup," "Four Christmases" and "Couples Retreat."
