Laura Marano and her older sister Vanessa have a lot in common aside from being sisters.

The two young ladies are actresses on some of the most popular Disney Channel and ABC Family shows around; Austin & Ally and Switched at Birth.

The sisters are about to be on set together though for a new project.

Actress Laura Marano Is Thrilled Her Older Sister Vanessa Is Now On Social Media!

On Thursday the younger Marano gushed on Twitter, "AHH SO EXCITED to announce my sis & I are making a movie together!"

The film they'll be shooting is actually the adaptation of Alyson Noel's novel Saving Zoe. The 19-year-old further gushed about how the 2007 novel happens to be "one of my favorite books...and now I'm gonna be in it....NO BIG DEAL AHHHHH."

The story is about two sisters, Zoe and Echo, and Echo is dealing with the aftermath of Zoe's brutal murder. Zoe's former boyfriend eventually shows up with Zoe's diary, which will lead to Echo learning so much about her sister after her death and allow her to rebuild her own life.

Noel is thrilled to have the real-life sisters aboard for the movie adaptation.

She said they're "perfect to play fictional sisters Echo & Zoe!"

On Noel's blog she revealed that the sisters' mom Ellen is also part of the project.
