Suri Cruise, daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, spent her holidays with both parents this year.

According to reports, after Holmes, 34, ended her performance in her Broadway play, "Dead Accounts" in New York City on Dec.23, the actress took her daughter to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio.

A family insider shard some of the details, saying that the "Dawson's Creek" star and her six-year-old daughter had a "wonderful" day with her family.

"Suri spent Christmas day with her mother and her family in Ohio," a source told People. "It was a wonderful day."

The insider added that the custody arrangement Holmes acquired after her quick divorce from Cruise ensured she would have her daughter for the holiday.

"There was never a doubt that Katie would have Suri for Christmas morning," an insider told Us Weekly.

The source also revealed why Holmes chose to spend their first Christmas without Tom in her hometown - she thinks it's "healthy" for her.

"Katie thinks getting Suri out of the city is healthy for her - seeing how life is outside of their world there," the source said.

On Dec. 26 Suri joined her father, sister and brother - Bella, 20, and Connor, 17 - for another family gathering in an unknown location, according to People. Cruise's private jet was spotted in Holmes' hometown on Wednesday.

Tom, 50, opened up about his holiday plans with his children.

"We have got lots of very special things planned," Tom told People at the London premiere for his latest film, "Jack Reacher." "We are all going to be together."

Holmes was given primary custody of Suri in the couple's divorce settlement while Cruise has visitation rights.

The Broadway play Holmes is currently starring in, "Dead Accounts," will close January 6, 2013 - seven weeks earlier than scheduled, due to poor ticket sales.
