Will Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) be affected by the events that happen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice or will her movie stand alone?

'Batman v Superman' Director Zack Snyder Explains How Batman Has An Advantage Over Superman

Atlas Entertainment President and Founder Charles Roven, who is helping produce multiple DC films in the years to come, recently spoke with Collider about the plan for their superheroes to evolve through each movie.

This means that the Wonder Woman we meet in Batman v Superman will be different from who she ultimately becomes in Wonder Woman and eventually Justice League Part 1.

Ben Affleck Says Gal Gadot Is 'Incredible' As Wonder Woman

"So if, for example, The Flash movie or the Aquaman film is gonna come out after Justice League 1, it's not gonna be a completely different character; that character will have evolved from Justice League 1. Wonder Woman, when we see her in Justice League 1, will have evolved from Batman v Superman," Roven explained. "Unless we decide that in one of these stories we're gonna do something that happened in the past and have it be more of an origination story, in which case you'll realize how that character became what they were in the movie that they were first introduced."

This suggests Wonder Woman will evolve through each film in a continuous fashion, providing for more serialized storytelling.

Wonder Woman is one of many DC superheroes set to appear in Batman v Superman, including Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
