In preperation for its upcoming Iron Man 3 flick, Marvel Comics rolled out two prelude comic books.

The material itself supplies a plethora of information that ranges from where War Machine was located during the New York alien invasion, to who joined forces with the Avengers for showarma, with fans wondering whether the content will be used on the big screen.

The No. 2 issue of the Iron Man 3 prequel comic even gave an explanation as to why Tony Stark constructed the Deep Space armor. Also, there's been a slew of speculation as to why the future blockbuster's Super Bowl trailer showed several Iron Man suits of armor blowing up. The question many are asking is whether the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) or Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) will destroy the armor.

Downey recently praised Kingsley's acting chops while speaking to U.K's Nuts.

"I always think there's something more terrifying about a villain who's a genius, as opposed to just relying on strength or ability," he said. "We all know what a fantastic actor Ben Kingsley is, and he pulls of the evil genius with real terrifying results."

Iron Man 3 will be the franchise's latest movie going IMAX. The international 3D roll out is set for April 25, a little over a week ahead of the film's projected U.S. release in the beginning of May.

Collider posted the press release put out by the IMAX Corporation and Marvel Entertainment in January, which stated that Iron Man 3 will join the likes of Iron Man 2, Thor and The Avengers among the franchise's already released IMAX movies.

Although the movie's trailer may have insinuated a darker and less comic tone than the franchise's previous films, producer Kevin Feige told Movie Moron, "It's not a serious movie, but we seriously dig into exploring more of Tony. ...What you'll see in Iron Man 3 are some very unique directions being taken."

The movie is set to be officially released in U.S. theaters on May 3, 2013.
