Is Chris Rock caving into pressure to quit the Oscars because of the lack of black nominees this year? That might be the case as there's a new report that says the comedian might step down as this year's host as a good number of Hollywood stars are boycotting the ceremony because of the lack of representation in the African American community.

This Year's Major Oscars Snubs 

According to Naughty Gossip on Monday, sources are saying that the funny man is getting major pressure from his peers to pull out from the "White Oscars."

One source told the site, "Behind the scenes Chris is under extreme pressure to pull out. Many leaders in the black community think he would help progress be made if he quits his hosting job at the Oscars."

And even though other stars like Jada Pinkett Smith are encouraging her fans to tune out of this year's ceremony, insiders say that Rock isn't bowing out just yet.

One tipster added, "Chris is listening to what they have to say, but thinks he will have a bigger impact by doing the show. He thinks it is easier to make a difference from the inside. Chris has already started to write white people jokes for the show."

The 88th Academy Awards is scheduled to take place on February 28th. Nominees this year include Leonardo di Caprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett, Charlotte Ramplign and more.
