Jennifer Lawrence, who won the 2013 Academy Award for Best Actress on Sunday, will reprise her role as Raven Darkhölme/Mystique in the X-Men sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Lawrence is scheduled to begin filming her scenes for the role, which required her to wear excessive blue body paint in the first film, shortly after she wraps filming the Hunger Games sequel titled The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

When Lawrence made her first X-Men movie, a doctor was called to the set to treat uncomfortable skin irritations including severe skin rashes, boils and blisters caused by the blue body paint applied to her body for the role of Mystique. Lawrence was asked if she was looking forward to getting paint applied to her body again after the painful experience she had last time.

"I can't wait," Lawrence sarcastically told E! News.

The Hunger Games star said X-Men producers are working on finding new body paint that will reduce the odds of causing the skin problems she experienced filming the previous film.

"We're trying to figure out some ways to avoid the future skin irritations," she said.

Lawrence won the Best Actress Oscar for her work in Silver Linings Playbook. Her performance as a recovering window-turned-sex addict in the romantic comedy also earned her the Screen Actors Guild Award, Golden Globe Award, Independent Spirit Award and a Satellite Award this year.

Lawrence, who has never studied drama or taken any acting classes, was the third-youngest actress ever to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress.

Hunger Games: Catching Fire will arrive in theaters on Nov. 22, 2013.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will hit theaters in 2014.
