Captain America: Civil War will push the Avengers' emotions to the surface, and Cupid might just take advantage of our heroes heightened feelings.

Two years ago, Winter Soldier trailers had social media a buzz thanks to Nat (Scarlett Johansson) and Steve's (Chris Evans) little escalator kiss. While that moment was merely a stalking horse concocted by a quick-thinking Black Widow and thoroughly confused Captain America, Civil War might bring a real romance to the fore.

Speaking in a Facebook live stream, directors Anthony and Joe Russo fielded the relationship question on Wednesday.

"There may be a kiss in Civil War...But I bet you can't guess which characters it's between," Anthony teased.

His brother, Joe, remained tight-lipped, however.

"I say we plead the fifth," Joe said in a coy attempt to dodge the question.

So, which heroes do you think will lock lips next month? Based on their comic book history, our initial guess would be Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and the Vision (Paul Bettany). The trailer, however, seems to disagree - the Sokovian heroine is pictured brining the Vision to his knees.

There are plenty of people who believe Caps and the revenant supersoldier should have a chance at love in the MCU, but, even if that particular relationship isn't in the cards, the Star-Spangled Avenger might still be in line for a new romance.

"That falls under the surprise in the story as well, but we can only keep Cap romantically uninvolved for so long," Joe told ComicBook.com. "At some point, something has to happen with that character, so we are very aware of his lack of romantic life. We want to keep dimensionalizing his character so maybe something interesting will happen."
