"We're still friends right?"

Captain America: Civil War will pit Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.) and the Star-Spangled Avenger (Chris Evans) against one another, but Tony and Steve's friendship won't be the only one to take a hit this spring. Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) will also find themselves on opposite sides, and everyone's wondering if the rift will tear the SHIELD buddies apart.

It's an issue the pair even address in the heat of battle (check out the 25 second mark in the following trailer).

"We're still friends right?" Natasha queries in between punches.

"Depends on how hard you hit me," Clint quips.

Luckily, fans won't have to wait until the film drops to find out why the gimlet-eyed archer will opt for Team Cap while the scarlet-haired spy will side with Team Iron Man.

"Natasha is a bit torn between either side," Johansson explained in a new featurette. "With Cap, they really have a relationship where she wants to reason with him, but she sees Tony as a path of least resistance."

For Hawkeye, it's a simple issue of who picked up the phone first. In this instance, Caps will gain the upper hand as the first team to recruit the bowman.

"Barton is a pretty brass tacks kind of guy. Kinda get the job done so I can go home," Renner told IGN. "So I don't think it's very difficult for him to decide."

One thing fans definitely don't have to worry about is whether or not this feud will do serious physical damage to either character. Neither side will be shooting blanks, but they also won't be looking to incur a body count.

"[Hawkeye's] arrow tips, they'll all be non-lethal, because again, we're not trying kill anybody - just sort of take control of the situation," Renner explained. "They'll probably throw in a lot of gimmicks with the tips and trick arrows, and things like that."

Although Avengers aren't shooting to kill, that doesn't mean other factions won't be locked and loaded. Don't think for a minute Civil War won't get its hands just a little dirty.
