Vin Diesel recently unveiled a new poster for the latest entry in the Fast and Furious franchise, Furious 8, via Facebook.

In the image, the actor, who plays Dominic Toretto in the movie series, is seen standing alone on a dusty road looking into the distance. He wears a very somber expression, which many fans have interepreted as a tribute to Paul Walker, as in Toretto is yearning for his road partner, Walker's character Brian O'Conner. The poster is titled, 'New Roads Ahead,' and is pretty minimalist.

In other recent news about the movie, earlier this month filmmakers made a major casting announcement: revealing that Charlize Theron is set to come on board as a villain (not much else is known).

Reports began surfacing in February that the studio was looking to cast a female villain for the film and that Theron was in talks. This addition could make things very exciting, especially given Theron's record playing gritty roles, most recently blowing audiences minds away as Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road. She's no stranger to playing the bad guy and can currently be reprising her role as the steely and evil Queen Ravenna in Snowhite and the Huntsman as Queen Ravenna.

That news was followed by the exciting addition of Clint Eastwood's son, Scott Eastwood. Eastwood has a few films under his belt, with appearances in some exciting new releases, including Suicide Squad and Oliver Stone's Snowden. The only detail that was revealed about Eastwood's role was that he will be playing a protege to Kurt Russell's Mr. Nobody.

But fans shouldn't be too worred about all the new faces, since Jason Statham is set to return as Deckard Shaw, the main villain in Furious 7.

Furious 8 will be released on April 14, 2017.
