Adam Levine couldn't be more stoked to become a parent.

The singer's wife, Behati Prinsloo, is expecting their first child who is expected to be born sometime this fall. Levine opened up about it in Tuesday's report from E! News where he mentioned how amazing it feels knowing that he's going to have a baby soon.

"It's awesome. I'm going to be a dad. S-it, I'm excited," he said. "I'm going to be a f-cking dad. I'm going to spoil [Behati]."

Levine might be spoiling his wife, but will the same go for his future daughter?

"Kid's not even out yet," the singer said. "Can't be spoiling a kid before a kid gets out."

The Maroon 5 rocker also opened up about his wife's pregnancy to Entertainment Tonight saying that it's one of the most important things a person can do.

"I'm ready to be a dad," he said. "You're born to be a parent, that's what we're here for, really. All the other s-it is great, but it's not what we're here for."

When asked if he's getting any advice from friends and family members, Levine said that he and his model wife are doing things their own way.

"When you are doing this for the first time, everybody loves to tell you what you should be doing," Levine said. "So we're kind of tuning a lot of it out and we're just going to do it how we do it."

Blake Shelton, who works with Levine on The Voice, also dished on how excited he is for his friend and his future as a daddy.

"I'm looking forward to Adam actually having to wake up before noon or one o'clock for the first time in his life, you know, to go change a diaper," Shelton joked. "I think it's going to be good for him. I think the baby is going to do more for Adam than Adam is going to do for the baby, I'll put it to you that way. I'm very happy for him."
