Are LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian on the verge of a split?

Although the couple just celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary with friends in Mexico, new reports claim they are headed for divorce.

"According to a new report, Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes’ marriage is nothing more than a business relationship and the only reason they haven’t gotten a divorce is because they can’t afford the expensive legal mess," Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported on Thursday. "Obviously, LeAnn Rimes is determined to convince the world that she and Eddie Cibrian have a picture perfect marriage – her Twitter account is living proof of that – but sources close to the couple say that it is all for show."

Rimes and Cibrian wed in 2011, two years after they engaged in an affair on the set of Lifetime's Northern Lights while married to other people.

“With LeAnn’s career in trouble and Eddie’s nonexistent, they probably can’t afford divorce, though it’s likely where there’ll end up soon enough,” a source told OK! Magazine. “There is zero passion there.”

In response to the shocking report, Rimes’ rep spoke to Gossip Cop, confirming the report was a “complete fabrication,” and Cibrian’s own rep added, “They are definitely not broke and they are definitely not divorcing.”

On Instagram in recent weeks, Rimes has been nothing but positive about her marriage and family, including her stepsons Mason and Jake, and while on vacation in Mexico, she shared a number of throwback photos from her wedding with her fans and followers online.
