Ladies and gentlemen, the men and women of Ghostbusters are here to tell you that this summers reboot is not to be missed.

Comedians Melissa McCarty (Abby), Kate McKinnon (Jillian), Kristen Wiig (Eric) and Leslie Jones (Patty) dropped by Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday and, along with original Ghostbusters squad, the actress put down sexist detractors and doubtful fans alike.

When Bill Murray (Peter), Dan Aykroyd (Ray), Ernie Hudson (Winston), and Annie Potts (Janine) are singing your praises, you know you've done the fans proud.

"There is no quit in these girls...this is a tough movie to pull off because it's a big concept, there's a lot on the plate, there's a lot of expectation," Murry cautioned. "Danny and I and Annie and Ernie were just screaming, cheering like we were at a sporting event at the end of it."

As for those middle-aged trolls living in their mother's basement, the original Ghostbusters have a very strong message for you: if you're clogging up the Internet with derogatory statements about the female cast, you're not only backwards, you're also astonishingly wrong.

"These women performers are good actors," Aykroyd said. "By the way, all the guys in the movie are just fine, too. There are men and women in the movie."

"Let's not rush by that - there are both men and women in this fill," Murry added. "Speaking as a man who has dressed as a woman, I couldn't be happier. These girls did a really good job. And I can call them girls because I am a boy."
