DC's highly anticipated Justice League will now just be one standalone movie, rather than two.

Warner Bros. had previously announced that there would be a Justice League Part One and a Justice League Part Two, though plans have apparently changed.

Justice League producers Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder reportedly told the press on Friday that the upcoming film won't be a two-parter in the vein of such films as Mockingjay Part 1 and Mockingjay Part 2. Instead, the film will just be called Justice League while the sequel will be its own movie.

Reporters also talked to Justice League director Zack Snyder about the movie, with the director confirming that it will be a "complete" movie. However, when asked if this means the film wouldn't end on a cliffhanger, he teased, " You know, hopefully there's some reason to go -- the movie doesn't end and you go, 'Okay, well that's the DC Universe!'"

The plot synopsis for Justice League was also released recently and while it doesn't reveal much that fans don't already know, it still gives enough of a teaser:

"Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy," the synopsis reads. "Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions."

As the synopsis indicates, the film will star Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Ezra Miller as The Flash.

Justice League will be released in theaters on Nov. 17, 2017. The sequel to the film is expected to be released on June 14, 2019.
