Ben Affleck has reportedly written a script for a new Batman film, following his big debut as the iconic superhero in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Affleck is set to inhabit the role of Batman in multiple films going forward. The topic came up in a new interview with WME-IMG co-CEOs Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell.

"He's contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape," Whitesell told The Hollywood Reporter, adding, "there's a script that he's written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that's out there as an option."

He is also supposed to have a cameo appearance in this summer's Suicide Squad. It remains to be seen if Affleck's script will be made into a movie. DC has yet to officially announce a solo Batman film in their upcoming lineup.

This news comes after reports last year claimed Affleck would star in and direct a solo Batman film. Affleck now has plenty of experience directing critically-acclaimed films, including 2007's Gone Baby Gone, 2010's The Town and 2012's Oscar Best Picture winner, Argo. He also just completed directing a new Prohibition-era film called Live By Night. He wrote or co-wrote all of those films except for Argo.

Reaction on Twitter has been positive so far regarding the news of Affleck writing a Batman film.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently out in theaters.
