As many diehard fans already know, Star Wars: Episode VII will mark the launch of a new trilogy under the Disney brand.

To top it off, the popular franchise will be featuring some of its vintage cast, including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and almost certainly Harrison Ford, who has continued to remain mum on the subject.

Earlier in March, Star Wars creator George Lucas had previously unveiled to Bloomberg Business Week that three members of the original cast, which were Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, were in talks to return even prior to Lucasfilm being sold off in October 2012.

"We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison - or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation. So I called them to say, 'Look, this is what's going on,'" Lucas said. "Maybe I'm not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them."

In terms of Ford, he has seemingly continued to duck the million dollar question on everyone's mind, as he gave the following response when he was asked whether he'd return to play Hans Solo role:

"Um, I don't even want to discuss that. It's great. Ain't it great?"

According to Movie Fone, "the trilogy episodes will alternate with standalone movies, rumored to focus on characters like Yoda, Boba Fett, and a young Hans Solo."

Since purchasing Lucasfilm from George Lucas in the fall, Disney has made several significant changes to the Star Wars franchise.

What Culture reported that Star Wars: Episode VII should undoubtedly be set around the time period after the events of Return of the Jedi.

J.J. Abrams is set to direct the upcoming blockbuster. The movie is slated to be released at some point in 2015.
