It’s been awhile since we heard from Dwyane Wade’s first wife Siohvaughn Funches. But she has resurfaced to headlines just after he signed a brand new $47 million contract with the Chicago Bulls.

The exes’ divorce got ugly back in 2013 but ended with a settlement of $5 million for Funches, who was Wade’s high school sweetheart and the mother of two of his sons. But now she wants more money from the NBA star, according to Chicago Tribune Friday. She took to a Cook County courtroom to ask a judge for a larger settlement considering the new terms of his NBA career.

The lawsuit also called out her previous lawyer Brian Hurst for allegedly “failed miserably” to represent her during her former legal woes with the now ex Miami Heat player. It adds that Hurst told Funches “to remain out of the conference room where negotiations were taking place” and “informed the court falsely” that Funches was okay with the settlement even though she did not know all of the details.

While a judge dismissed her case Friday, it’s not over for Funches, who once said she was homeless after her split with Wade. The judge advised Funches to amend her request. Her new lawyer, Thomas Gooch, made it clear she would take the judge up on the offer.

Wade and Funches tied the knot back in 2002 but called it quits officially in 2010. Wade was granted sole custody of the two boys, Zaire and Zion the following year. Fans might also remember Funches took to protesting in Chicago’s Daley Plaza coming for Wade for leaving her homeless after their breakup. He later tied the knot with actress Gabrielle Union in August 2014.
