Erica Mena’s days on the Love & Hip Hop franchise might be done; but now the reality star has lots to say about the mega popular VH1 series.

Mena, who quit the New York City installment when her relationship with Bow Wow was still going strong, chatted with DJ Vlad and revealed what she really thinks about the series now that she is no longer one of its stars.

“All they care about is what’s going to make a good scene,” she said. “And they put you in this situation knowing already what’s going to make you tick, what’s your weak points, you know what I mean?”

She added that that definitely adds lots of pressure to the personal areas of a reality star’s life.

“You start to feel like you’re going to work and your nine to five is a complete war zone. And that feeling—every day for five years created this person that just wasn’t balanced.”

She went on to say that she decided to opt for peace of mind versus a slot on a famous reality series and the money that comes along with starring in it.

“What matters most?” she said she asked. “Your sanity or the money…that was good but not good enough where you’re going to take my livelihood and twist it around. And put me in these sitautions that bring out the complete worst in me.”

She added that she is convinced the producers don’t have the stars’ best intentions in mind but would rather make good television.
