If you're still in the process of trying to figure out how to make a wicked cat eye or even a badass smoky eye, look away: This isn't for the faint-hearted or the shaky-handed.

This new liner trend incorporates all sorts of knives—kitchen knives, butcher knives and so on. No, don't worry: No one is using the edge of a knife to create a super straight flick (I hope.) Instead, they're recreating the look on their own lids by painting on bloody knives.

The look, called "knifeliner," looks absolutely terrifying, kind of gross, and totally perfect for Halloween. All you need is a black liquid or gel liner and a silver shadow with plenty of glitter (or at least a silver shadow with a glitter pigment overlay). For the "blood", just pack on a red shadow and dot with white liner.

Spooky, right?
