'The Voice': Meghan Linsey Reveals Sexual Assault Incident In Wake Of Donald Trump Scandal [VIDEO]

The Voice finalist Meghan Linsey is opening up about her past battle with sexual assault following the leaked audio of Donald Trump's lewd 2005 comments to Billy Bush.

Linsey, who was the runner-up on season 8 of The Voice, wrote a lengthy post on Facebook recently about being sexually harassed by a powerful man in the music industry back in 2010. The singer allowed Yahoo to re-publish the post on their site.

Linsey was in a band called Steel Magnolia back in 2010, and was on tour when the incident happened. "When I was touring with Steel Magnolia in 2010, a very powerful man in the music business grabbed up my skirt," she wrote. "He was groping me and proceeded to try to pick me up by my a-- on a bus in front of a lot of important people."

Telling him to stop and put her down, the businessman apparently became "embarrassed and angry" and the next night, "he came up behind me and whispered in my ear, he said, 'I have boats bigger than you could ever imagine, and I could put you in the middle of the ocean where no one would ever hear from you again. Just remember that.' He laughed and walked away."

The singer wrote that the incident sent chills through her body, admitting she couldn't believe what had just happened. But even when she repeated the story to her manager and the head of her label, they warned her against telling others.

"I knew I had to tell someone. I called my manager and she told me to never breathe a word of that story to anyone ever," Linsey recalled. "I told the head of my label and he told me the same thing. They both said if I wanted to have a career in country music then I could never say anything about it out loud, to anyone."

The singer did not reveal the identity of her harasser.

Linsey related this story back to the 2005 Trump audio, which features the GOP nominee telling Bush about girls letting him "do anything" because he's "a star" and talking about "grabbing them by the p----." In the wake of this leaked footage, women all over the world have been sharing their own sexual assault stories.
