He has been cleared of child abuse allegations, but the fact that he's been unable to see his six kids very often since splitting from Angelina Jolie has reportedly crushed Brad Pitt.

According to Us Weekly, Pitt has only seen his six children with Jolie-15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne-three times in the past two months, and it's been hitting him hard.

"He's crushed," an alleged insider told the magazine.

And despite charges against him being cleared, meaning he could try to get joint or sole custody of his own of the kids, for now, Pitt is trying to avoid fighting with his soon to be ex-wife, because he wants to make sure he prioritizes the kids and keeps things easier on them.

"He wants to limit the fighting," the source said. "Brad had been deferential on what's best for them and limits their stress. You don't just immediately create a new world."

However, also trying to keep things as low-key as possible for the kids is still taking its toll on him and the relationship he has with the kids. He previously waited three weeks to see his children as they attended therapy, but during their few brief visits since, the kids reportedly "didn't warm up to him."

That is something that has allegedly been painful for Pitt, who was previously a very hands-on dad, who always spent time with the kids at their various homes when they traveled from place to place.

The family has been in turmoil since Jolie shockingly filed for divorce from Pitt back in September, stunning fans and other Hollywood elite alike. The pair had been together for 12 years, and married for two, and had their relationship famously scrutinized in the beginning because they met on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith and fell in love there-despite Pitt being married to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston at the time.
