Lindsay Lohan reportedly claimed bad press does not bother her.

Lohan addressed the matter in an interview featured on the DVD of Liz & Dick released on May 14 where the actress portrayed Elizabeth Taylor.

"I understand the downfalls [of fame] and how you may feel when people kind of put you down in the press and I understand kind of fighting through that. You get to a point where ... you ignore it," Lohan said. "You become numb to it and you just live your life the way that you feel you need to live it."

Lohan believes that many celebrities in the entertainment industry endure criticism and bad press and would relate to her. Their private lives are often in the spotlight, leaving them open to gossip and negative press.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Lohan wanted out of the Betty Ford clinic after doctors threatened to take away her Adderall. The Mean Girls star was taking the drug to treat her attention deficit hyperactivity disorder known as ADHD, but doctors at the rehab prefer to treat her condition with a non-addictive drug.

Los Angeles Supreme Court Judge James Dubney ordered the 26-year-old the actress to spend 90 days in lock-down in rehab as part of her sentence for reckless driving . Lohan did not contest the charges in March and she checked into the rehab on May 2. She also agreed to serve 30 days of community service and 18 months in psychotherapy.

According to TMZ's report, Lohan allegedly researched other rehab centers to see if they would allow her to continue to take Adderall.

Prosecutors reportedly will not grant permission to Lohan to switch rehabs, law-enforcement sources told TMZ.

Lohan is in rehab to avoid potential jail time, but could be ordered to serve time in prison if she leaves the rehab.
