Florence Henderson, who played the beloved mother on The Brady Brunch, has died at the age of 82.

Henderson's manager, Kayla Pressman, confirmed the news Friday morning as did the actress' four children, Barbara, Joseph, Robert and Lizzie.

"We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear mother Florence Henderson from Heart Failure," the family said in a statement. "On this day of thanks, our beloved mother was surrounded by her devoted children and dearest friends. We thank all of her fans for their many years of love and ask that we be allowed to grieve in private."

In addition to being survived by her four children, Henderson had five grandchildren.

The actress was born on Valentine's Day in 1934, and began her career in showbiz touring in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! and South Pacific.

From 1969-74, Henderson played Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch, one of the most iconic sitcom matriarchs in television history. She would return to play the character in various specials and revivals throughout her career and guest starred on many TV shows over the past few decades, often as herself.

Henderson competed on Dancing With the Stars in Fall 2010, at the incredible age of 76. She and her partner, Corky Ballas, outlasted four other couples that season, ultimately finishing in eighth place.

She would later return to support her TV daughter, Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady), who competed on the show just this fall. Henderson was often seen cheering in the audience for McCormick, who ironically placed eighth as well, and was there this week for the season finale - her last public appearance.

McCormick tweeted about Henderson's death, posting a photo of the two of them together in what would be one of their last public moments shared:
