There has been conflicting information roaming around the internet about the Xiaomi Mi 6 release date. Two recent reports separately suggesting a February or April launch. Aside from that the upcoming flagship smartphone might also arrive in three variants armed with powerful specs.

According to NDTV Gadget, a well-known tipster has posted on Chinese website Weibo that Xiaomi's upcoming flagship device Xiaomi Mi 6 will make its first appearance on Valentine's Day, February 14. The analyst even provided an assumed invite image for the event. Nevertheless, there are reports suggesting that Xiaomi will postpone the earlier reported launch in February and re-scheduled it in an event on April.

In addition, International Business Times stated on its article that the Xiaomi Mi 6 might be available in three variants namely Mi 6S, Mi 6E and Mi 6P. The Xiaomi Mi 6S will reportedly house Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 835 CPU, whereas the Mi 6E will house MediaTek's Helio processor. In the midst of the three models, the Mi 6P will be the company's most distinctive model, as it is said to be engineered with Xiaomi's in-house built Pinecone series chipset.

The rest of the specifications like camera, display, RAM, storage and battery capacity in all the three versions are believed to be similar. The Xiaomi Mi 6 series will be armed with 16MP-based dual-camera module and a 4MP front snapper.

These handsets will boast a QHD screen and all of it will come out of the box running on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Mi 6 series will be packed with 6GB of RAM and these smartphones might be powered by a 3,000mAh capacity battery with Quick Charge 4.0 technology.

With the abovementioned specs, it really seems that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be a powerful device. And as for the release date, it is not yet certain whether this series of device will be unveiled on February or April so stay tuned for further announcements.
