The upcoming new installment in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie franchise, Avengers: Infinity War, is set to be the Pièce De Résistance of the entire series as it set to feature all of the superhero teams to battle an enemy of galactic proportions. Now, a brand new surprise character is set to make the movie even more exciting as a "Game of Thrones" actor is now in talks to be appearing.

According to a report from Variety, the HBO's fantasy movie adaptation's own Peter Dinklage is apparently now in talks to star in the new Avengers film in an unspecified role. Unfortunately, Marvel has not yet responded to inquiries about the actor's specific role as it probably has yet to finalize their dealings.

However, a report from Deadline has predicted that Dinklage may possibly be playing the role of the Captain America villain, MODOK. The villain, whose name strangely stands for Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing, is a character named George Tarleton who is strongly connected with the "cosmic cube" in the comic books. The "cosmic cube" is of course one of the six infinity stones, which will be the central focus of the upcoming movie.

Avengers: Infinity War will be featuring the coming together of earth's strongest heroes in the Marvel Universe as they battle it out with the galactic super villain, Thanos, played by Josh Brolin. Thanos will apparently be after all of the stones which he will be forging into the infinity gauntlet. The weapons will essentially allow him to control the universe in its entirety.

Dinklage has had some prior experience playing in superhero movies, specifically with his role as Bolivar Trask in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past. If Dinklage will accept the offer to play in the next Avengers movie, then it will be his first time playing a Marvel character within the MCU franchise.

Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 5, 2018.
