AMD Ryzen has been announced during the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2017. As a matter of fact, AMD confirmed 16 AM4 motherboards and a dozen of Ryzen PCs during the said event. The upcoming chipset from the American multi-national company is anticipated to become available on market shelves in March.

According to Yibada, AMD Ryzen is believed to be unveiled around March. This was based on information gathered from GDC organizers. There was a phrase stating that "recently-launched", this could basically mean that the AMD Ryzen processors will be released by then.

GDC 2017 will start from February 27 up to March 3 and AMD is anticipated to introduce its new processors before or within the range. Also, all of the AMD Ryzen specs and prices should be publicized by then as all of the chipsets in the line-up will be launched in one go.

Furthermore, Ecumenical News has learned that during the recently concluded CES 2017, which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, AMD already confirmed 16 AM4 motherboards. Most of them are from tech giants like Asus, Gigabyte, and Biostar. AMD also publicized over a dozen Ryzen PCs and all of these techs will be accessible on the same day the chip launches.

The AM4 motherboards carried different chipsets, some of which are X370, X300 motherboards, and A300 boards. AMD also stated that the company has plans of releasing upgraded motherboards every year or two.

As for the CPU coolers, AMD said that with 1331 pins in the AM4 socket, coolers that have bolts on their motherboards will require brackets. On the other hand, CPU coolers with clips rather than bolts will be capable of transferring over to AM4 systems.

It was also noted that AMD Ryzen will feature a 40 percent enhancement in terms of performance. Its AM4 motherboard has the ability to support latest computing technologies, such as DDR4 memory, PCle Gen 3, USB 3.1 Gen 2, and NVMe.

When it comes with AMD Ryzen's release date, the American tech giant hasn't confirmed exact date as of the moment. But then, the company will surely give every detail about the upcoming chipset as its launch nears.
