The next installment in the extremely popular Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film franchise, Avengers: Infinity War, has gotten a lot of fans excited lately as the group of superheroes are expected to hit the screens early next year. Marvel Studios has of course already released a couple of teasers for the new movie, but none that gives fans any visual clues regarding what to really expect.

However, one of the film's stars has now revealed a photo that gives fans a closer look at what the upcoming movie's main antagonist will look like. Actor Josh Brolin, who will be playing the role of the mad titan, Thanos, has just posted a photo of himself, alongside his character, on his official Instagram account.

The photo's caption mentions the word "Next," which is likely a nod towards his next appearance given his short stints in the previous installments. Brolin's character previously appeared in The Avengers, released in 2012, and Avengers: Age of Ultron, released in 2015.

Aside from posting the teaser photo, Brolin also recently talked about the movie during an interview with Digital Spy. The actor revealed that he actually already knows the entire plot of the new movie and that it was an "amazing" and "incredible" story. Brolin also mentioned that no matter how much he really wanted to talk about it, he really isn't allowed to say a single word.

The movie's director, Anthony Russo, also recently revealed to Independent, that the upcoming movie was basically going to be the culmination of everything that has happened so far in all of the previous MCU films. The director also teased that the upcoming movies will see the end of some of the storylines, but in turn in will also be the beginning of new things for the franchise.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to be released in theaters on 4 May 2018.
